Sodium Advisory Notice for Drinking Water

posted Apr 3, 2017, 7:55 AM by School Websites
Every five years we are required to submit drinking water samples to the Ministry of Environment/Ottawa Public Health for analytical testing for a number of chemicals and compounds.

Each time all lab measurements have been within the allowed limits except for sodium.

Sodium is a naturally occurring salt in ground water that does not pose a health risk for most people. However, as persons on restricted sodium diets diagnosed with medical conditions may be affected, we are required to post the following Sodium Advisory Notice for Drinking Water.

If you have any questions regarding the health information in this advisory, please contact Ottawa Public Health at 613-580-6744.
